As they say, it’s a Recovery if you’re on Wall Street (or a guest on CNBC). It’s a Recession if it happens to your neighbor, and a downright Depression if it’s happening to you and your family …. Ain’t that the truth!
Frankly, I’m anything but a liberal, a softie, or an economist — yet I’ve been told that I’m an alarmist, at times, when addressing the unemployment issue. Some have said, why don’t you look at the positive side of things. Sure, some are making tons of money, and some are hurting, but it’s not that bad. The stock market is booming, afterall ….
However, when nearly 44 million Americans, and over 14% of our citizenry are receiving Food Stamps as of January 2011 (and all time record number of recipients), things aren’t good to say the least.
And most of all, that’s not a good looking chart, when evaluating bad news; you never want to see a 45 degree upward trend, regarding advancing negative news. The question is … WHAT’S NEXT?
