In this Blog’s short history we’ve already talked about uncovering “true inflation.”  We saw the facts unfold, with MIT’s Billion Price index.

Bet you didn’t know –although your pocketbook intuitively told you —  that inflation is now running at an annualized, and whopping,  rate of 10.6%!!

And THEY say there’s no inflation … Talk about Unwrapping the News ….. Frankly, this is exactly why I created this site. My passion is to expose the story, behind the story. What are we to do; feel as if we’re the ONLY ONE’s experiencing the rise in everyday costs, while the “experts,” “pundits,” and our “elected officials,” tell us otherwise.

What’s really happening in terms of pricing these days? Every hear the “experts” say there’s no inflation?

Turns out, there’s a new way to measure consumer pricing.

MIT’s Billion Price Project (BPP) actually compiles real time price data about a universe of products, including information on product descriptions, package sizes, brands, special characteristics (e.g. “organic”), and whether the item is on sale or price control.

The attached chart confirms what all of us who actually buys goods and services in the US knows all too well.

EVERYTHING’S GOING UP!
